The short version: ElektroKid collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and the app never goes online.
The ElektroKid app
Who we are. ElektroKid is made by Digimacht (owner: Ratnaji Akkina), #58475, Albert-Einstein-Str. 47, 02977 Hoyerswerda, Germany, support@elektrokid.com. For our full legal notice (Impressum) see elektrokid.com/imprint.
We collect nothing. ElektroKid has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It never asks for names, email addresses, photos or any other personal data, and it contains no third-party software that does. We do not process any personal data about children or adults.
Everything stays on the device. Stars, badges, Sparks and the things bought with them, the chosen buddy and inventor name (built from word tiles, so never a real name), saved circuits and the sound settings are stored only inside the app on the device. They are not included in cloud or computer backups and are deleted when the app is deleted. A grown-up can remove an inventor or reset one child's or everyone's progress in the app's grown-ups area, behind a parental gate. Removed inventors and reset progress stay on the device for 30 days, so a grown-up can bring them back, then they are deleted. An optional parent PIN is kept only as a code it cannot be read back from, in the device's secure storage.
No internet. The app never connects to the internet; on Android it does not even ask for the network permission. Volty's voice and the radio's music are recordings stored inside the app. The app never uses the microphone, the camera or the location. On a foldable iPhone it reads how the phone is folded, only to arrange the screen, and keeps nothing.
Purchases. A few lessons are free; the full lab is a one-time purchase made through the App Store or Google Play, and only a grown-up can reach it, behind the parental gate. Apple or Google handles the payment and your account under their own privacy policies. We receive no payment or account details; the app only learns whether the full lab is owned, and keeps that on the device. On Android, Google's billing library is part of the app; as the app has no internet permission, it cannot send anything from the app.
Crash and performance data. Apple and Google collect anonymous crash and performance numbers for all apps if you allow it in your device settings. They handle this data under their own privacy policies; we only see totals and receive no personal data.
If you write to us. The app sends nothing itself. Under Help and feedback in the grown-ups area, behind the parental gate, a parent sees a short problem report or a feedback summary in full (no names, no inventor names, no progress) and sends it from their own mail app, or not. If you write to us, we receive your email address and what you send. We use it only to answer and fix the problem, and we delete it once the problem is solved, after six months at the latest. We never pass it on. Please don't send your child's real name or photos. Our address: support@elektrokid.com. How to send a report: Help and feedback.
Your rights. As we process no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. If you have questions, write to support@elektrokid.com. You may also complain to a data protection authority; in Germany, for example, the authority of your federal state.
Changes. If the app ever needs to process data, we will update this policy first, ask for a parent's consent where the law requires it (GDPR Art. 8; in Germany under 16) and say so in the app.
